My dream was to study at the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration and I wondered which faculty was the best one for me to apply. The most important thing in choosing where I would spend 4 years of my life was the atmosphere within the faculty. At FESS there is such a thing as «a day together with a student» – you are given the opportunity to spend this day together with the first-year students. I took that opportunity once and I didn't regret it. The students are incredible guys – they will help you with any questions and point you in the right direction. The teachers will open up the business world to you, and for us – as future managers – that's extremely important. After that, I realised that FESS was the right place for me, the place where I want and need to study. So, feel free to apply and we are waiting for you.
Four years ago I entered FESS. And now I can say for sure that it was definitely the right decision. There are a few unspoken rules in our department, which I have set for myself. First, you try and get noticed: the dean's office gives students who try to earn points the opportunity to travel to different cities. The next unspoken rule is that «your grades cost money». By studying on a commercial basis, you can cut back on your tuition by earning higher grades and getting significant tuition discounts. What I like about the department is the practical component: as early as the second year, students are actively looking for work and are simply eager to put their knowledge into practice. By the third year, my portfolio had an impressive practical component, including a variety of projects from major companies such as Sberbank, Bosch, BMW Group, and DeLonghi. The next rule is that competition is the driver of progress. And finally, believe in yourself and you will succeed. Move forward, no matter what.
I am a 1st year student of FESS and exactly one year ago, I attended my first class in our faculty, despite the fact that I was still a school pupil. YES, the program "spend a day with FESS" is really unique: namely thanks to it I could feel all the atmosphere, get acquainted with current sophomores and finally decide on my choice of direction. I have never regretted it. The incredibly pleasant atmosphere, which simply broke my school stereotypes, still remains in me and every day I literally run to study. Not only does a heavy workload fail to discourage me, but on the contrary, it hardens me and motivates me because in such a short period of time I have made an incredible progress, a leap. If you want to experience it yourself – spend a day with FESS and you will never forget it.
Throughout my studies, I've never been disappointed in my choice because the reality exceeds my expectations. I really like the fact that already in the first year we have an internship and the opportunity to participate in various projects. But what influenced me greatly was the opportunity to attend classes with the first year students when I was in the 11 th grade, as I was able to get to know the learning process and the teachers better.
At our department, students can spend a whole day studying with other students – it's a great opportunity to get to know us better and get a feel for our atmosphere. You can experience how interesting and understandable the lecturers are. You can see the difference between seminars and lectures, join in discussions with students and ask questions. As a student, I am more and more convinced every day that FESS is a family and that studying here means working for your own pleasure.
Why it could be interesting for a school graduate?
As a future school graduate, it is imperative to select a university. But how do you determine which university is the best fit for you? And how do you determine which faculty aligns with your interests and goals? One way to answer these questions is by attending classes in person.
Let’s say you’re interested in exploring FESS. You can view the schedule on their website, select a day, and send an SMS to the designated contact with your name and arrival date. On the day of your visit, you’ll receive a pass to building 5 k. 305, where you can attend classes with the course/group head and determine whether you enjoy the environment, classes, and professors.
Additionally, you’ll gain practical knowledge and even receive a certificate stating that you studied at RANEPA.
Should the guest remain silent during the class?
Participation is voluntary. During lectures, it is appropriate to simply listen attentively. In seminars, students are encouraged to actively participate by asking and answering questions. High school students are generally expected to actively participate in English classes alongside their peers.
